Fear-mongering constantly drives us further apart.
We focus too intensely on hating people. Ironically, we actually have so much in common with them. In doing so, we ignore abuses by elected and appointed politicians.
We also overlook misconduct by bureaucrats. Sometimes, we even defend their actions if we believe them to be on our “side.”
We each have the ability to make a difference in our communities. We need only take a moment to claim that power in ourselves. We must demand that those who would seek to divide and control us can no longer do so.
The machine is massive. It is adept at making us feel that any try to stand up against it is futile.
Even when we are willing to leave behind fear and anxiety and take action in service of our fellow humans, knowing where to start is difficult.
Laws and regulations are intentionally complex. Elected officials and the dark money that supports them play gatekeeper. Solving what ails our country is a long and difficult journey.
Every dark and challenging journey worth embarking upon requires the faith and confidence to take the first step.
The future of liberty and human flourishing requires we all step out and upwards.
