Same Tyrant Playbook, New Era:
Tough-on-crime talk, masked as patriotism, sells control as safety because it works every time.
It’s happening again. You have to be blind to not see it.
Since January Trump has:
-Terminated the National Law Enforcement Accountability Database
-Halted DOJ investigations into abusive police departments
-Expanded immigration enforcement while eliminating oversight; -Dismissed internal watchdogs at DOJ and DHS
-Weakened civil rights tools and body camera requirements A little over a week ago, Trump signed the “Strengthening and Unleashing America’s Law Enforcement to Pursue Criminals and Protect Innocent Citizens” executive order which:
-Expands police powers and legal protections; -Authorizes the DOJ to defend officers accused of civil rights violations
-Increases the transfer of military equipment to local police -Shields law enforcement from judicial oversight
-Prioritizes law enforcement protection over civil liberties -Embeds DHS and federal agents more deeply into local policing Now, the White House is “exploring the option of suspending habeas corpus.”
See where this is going?
This is martial law in everything but name—and the Right is too busy celebrating arrested mayors/judges and dunking on liberals to notice or care.
Turn a blind eye now, and we risk losing what’s left of our freedom.
