Operation Stop CPS and friends showed up and educated Durham about children being stolen and families being disappeared.
Operation Stop CPS’s goal is to educate society on the Child Protection System to unmask the systematic oppression that has continued to wreak havoc on the lives of families.
The organization issues the following demands…
- Repeal the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA)
- Repeal the Adoption and Safe Families Act (AFSA)
- Children returned to their homes with resources allocated by the state to go directly to the families, ensuring successful reunification
- Reparations to families – include but not limited to, money to compensate for loss of wages and legal expenses.
- Resources allocated by the State to support dual and contending power community oversight boards that will be empowered to investigate cases initiated by CPS and recommend their own findings and produce their own holistic and redemptive solutions.
- Ban the state-sponsored kidnapping of black and brown children
- A ban on removing newborns from their mothers, when a CPS case is pending
- An end to drug testing of mothers and babies at birth
- An end to the interrogation of children without the presence of their parents
- An end to using lifestyle, cultural choices as the basis for removal
- Family first consideration = Kinship
- Ending the practice of treating family placement as foster placement
Evil is hiding in plain sight.
State Power is being weaponized against the poor, and more especially, people of color.
