The Liberty Guardian aims to misbehave, standing between The People and State Power.
Founded by long-time activist Thomas Hill, The Liberty Guardian is an anti-state of emergency, an effort of empathy in defense of “the least amongst us”.
Providing a voice for the voiceless, uplifting the downtrodden, offering a hand up to our unhoused, addicted, sick, and suffering Brothers and Sisters.
Standing up against oath breakers and innocence-takers for over 27 years, Thomas has championed causes close to his heart.
In recent years, Thomas has focused on the plight of the unhoused and addicted living among us. Along with fellow members of the Libertarian Party of North Carolina (LPNC) and You Are The Power (YATP), Thomas was on the front lines defending homeless war veteran, Joshua Rorher and his deceased service dog, Sunshine, after they were brutally attacked by Gastonia Police in October of 2021.
While attending rallies and city council meetings on Joshua’s behalf, Thomas met Pastor Moses Colbert, whose homeless ministry, Faith, Hope, and Love Enrichment Ministry, was being harassed by Gastonia City officials. The city threatened to close down his ministry and steal the church property.
Currently, Thomas serves as web master and social media coordinator for Dr. Mary J. Ruwart, in addition to volunteering for the Libertarian Party of NC, You Are The Power, and Liberty International.
Past activism highlights include,
Development Director, Foundation for a Free Society.
Campaign Manager, Lee Wrights for President 2012
Assistant Campaign Manager, Dr. Mary Ruwart 2008
Thomas Hill has received several awards for his activism, including:
2012 Libertarian Party of Illinois Crispus Attucks Award for Libertarian Activist of the Year
